Funny how the American holiday follows so closely on the heels of the Canadian one, eh? But never mind that, I love our southern neighbours...a lot.

I love NASA, making fun of Dubya, everyone I know from LiveJournal and Blogger, James Spader, Adam and Jamie and Mythbusters, Boston, New York City, the Empire State Building, Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart, Harrison Ford, Robert Frost, James Stewart, Marilyn Monroe, all your wonderful movies, San Francisco, your book and comic bookshops and their owners (on both coasts), Archie and Mehitabel, Don Marquis, west coast coffee, Californian wines, did I mention Californian wines?, Continental Airlines, all your wonderful tv shows, especially Boston Legal, but not the reality ones (please stop with those), your disdain for the letter "u," the Golden Gate Bridge, Flogging Molly, Gillette Stadium, Fenway Park, the Red Sox, the Smithsonian (especially the National Air and Space Museum), the Marriott hotel chain, your dollar coin and your discreetly coloured money, Joe's American Bar & Grill, the American Customs people who gave me free coffee at 4am, Victoria's Secret, APE, Dropkick Murphys, SPX, Milton Bradley, Hoops and Yoyo, your national parks, Dunkin Donuts, the fact that you're embracing our Tim Horton's, Trader Joe's, the fact that you haven't invaded us...and everything I'm forgetting!
