Hi,
Let's just jump right in, shall we?
This past Monday, I went and I saw Leonard Cohen in concert here:

No, silly, not in the trainyard...in the city on the other side of the trainyard.
Here, is this clearer?

Yes, Montreal. Cohen. And I was just a little excited.

(I'm all cropped funny cuz I was doing this weird concentrating thing with my mouth and it looks like I ate a lemon.)
Anyways, here's, roughly, how Monday afternoon went:
4:00pm: *starting to get twitchy*
4:02pm: "Oh my god, I'm going to see Cohen tonight!"
4:05pm: *racing in circles, shrieking* Well, in my head.
4:30pm: *having a snack at the Peel Pub and periodically looking at the time*

5:00pm: *nervously planning what to wear while finishing snack*
5:01pm: *changing mind several times*
5:30pm: *hurrying back to B&B to change*
5:45pm: *racing in circles, shrieking...again* Well, in my head.
6:00pm: *changing clothes, modelling for patient Von, fussing over hair*

6:10pm: *subway to concert venue*
6:30pm: *pacing, waiting to go in*
6:45pm: *pacing*
7:00pm: *kissing Von bye-till-after-the-show and going into concert venue*
7:15pm: *fidgeting in seat*
7:20pm: *fidgeting in seat*
7:25pm: *fidgeting in seat*
7:28pm: *fidgeting in seat*
7:32pm: *fidgeting in seat, looking at time*
7:36pm: *first chords of first song...start crying*
7:37- 8:29pm: *rapture*
8:30pm: *mad texting and phoning and oh-my-god'ing during intermission*
8:45- 11:00pm: *rapture*
So, as you might guess...it was wonderful. Most wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. I can't recommend him enough...if he's coming to a city near you, you'd better be in that auditorium! You won't regret it! It took me a couple of hours (and some wine) to come back down to earth at the B&B.

(Stupid picture but I like that the ticket and iPod are reflected in the glass...accidental coolness.)
I didn't get any pictures at the actual concert (I travelled light and didn't bother trying to sneak my camera in) but I took a few around town...
( Yes, of course...there be random Montreal pictures under the cut! )
Okay, Cohen gushing out of the way...heeeey! Enter Von's contest, folks! You can win a signed and framed piece of artwork!
The details are here: http://vonandmoggy.livejournal.com/3645 61.html
It's really simple: you just have to guess Marie's middle name! You know, the cute little kid in the glasses in the road to god knows...? Yeah, her! Guess her middle name, win a prize! Can it get any simpler than that?
Von's accepting one guess per day per e-mail address and the only clue you have is that the name starts with "J." So go on, guess! E-mail your best shot to: rtgkcontest@gmail.com
And I guess that's it...I have another post on my mind but it'll have to wait cuz I'm all typed-out.
I know...it's hard to believe. But it does happen!
I miss anything around these parts while I was away?
