Hey,

It's been a busy couple of days at work but I suddenly seem to have a lull...which is nice. I can figure out which papers on my desk should be kept, which ones should be shredded, and which ones are something I forgot I had to do in the rush that was the morning...

But first some cool news. The new Cheapeats Toronto book is all printed and ready to go out! Check out http://www.cheapeatstoronto.com for more information-- and make sure to get your copy when it's in stores next week! You won't regret it. In fact, even if you don't live in TO, you should get a copy, anyways, just cuz it's the cool thing to do. Oh and you should really get a Cheapeats Ottawa, too. So wander on over to your local bookstore and make them sell you one of each. Now. Stop reading and go. Now. :)

In other news, Pickle's coming home for a week on Saturday-- which is also her birthday. *cough*Somebody's turning a quarter of a century ooooo-old*cough*. :) Be very nice to see her!! I was just looking at the pics we took way back on New Year's and, in some ways it feels like she's been gone forever and in others, like it was only yesterday that I got on that airport shuttle and left her in downtown Halifax at the start of the Big Adventure as a Newbie Haligonian. (Thanks in advance to Steve who's going to rescue Pickle from the clutches of the Ottawa International Airport on Saturday night-- if you're reading this, just know that you're awesome!).

While I was looking at the old Halifax pics, I remembered that I had wanted to print out some of the shots...the one of Pickle with the champagne glass, the shadow of the tree on the building, and so many others. But this is still my favourite:



Okay, guilt's setting in...I guess I'd better go and see if any work is coming down the pipes.
