RTGK Contest - a wee bit more!

Just wanted to give a nod to [info]charlotte2004jd, the winner of my little road to god knows... contest. As it turns out, she used her own first name for the winning guess. A few of you did, but in her case her name was the right name.

[info]charlotte2004jd lives in New Zealand, so it's kinda neat that some of my art will be winging it's way down that far from here. The drawback is that it'll take a little while to get there. Ah - the ol' slow boat! She's also co-owner of a bookshop in the Whangarei (y'know, I have no idea how to pronounce that) area of New Zealand. If you happen to be in that area, please do drop by and say "hi."

So wish her a big congrats for a good guess and a very lovely first name! :)

That's so great!

Whangarei (y'know, I have no idea how to pronounce that)

My guess would be wan-GAH-ray. But now I'm all curious!!! TO WIKIPEDIA!

Hey, I said Judith! It's what I meant when I said Juniper and Jasmine. Those both mean Judith. Really! This isn't fair.

Apologies for having taken so long to thank you in public, but from the bottom of my heart a very big "Thank You".As I have commented to you privately,RTGK has touched me in a very personal way,and to win this competition really took the cake.Don't ever give up drawing and writing. If you can touch other people the way you have touched me ,you have a big future in front of you.
Incidentally,it is freezing here today. For a subtropical climate, someone haas got their wires crossed.
P.S. Pronunciation of Whangarei, for those who are PC --
Fung a ray.
For those like me,who have lived here 90%of their life and aren't terribly PC,we just say Wan gah ray, just as Idragoon said.

Have a happy day.

Aw, you're a sweetie. Drawing and writing is something I love doing and I hope I'm getting better at it all the time. It's not easy (though I don't think that anything that has any value ever is) and I can only hope that I can make a solid living at it. Part of the equation is putting the effort in. Then it's seeing (hoping!) if there's a market for one's work. That and just trying to enjoy the process.

Now, my terrible admission is that I haven't shipped out the framed print yet. I was hoping it would go out last week but it'll be tomorrow instead. I wound up having a lot to do and I didn't get a chance to get down to the post office. But that'll happen tomorrow. Sorry!
